{Jonny
Akamu Haglund} - Guitarist
- Jonny was
born in Kailua, Hawaii, but has spent the majority of his
life in Bellingham, Washington. Jonny's passion for music
has taken him from the Orient to Europe, always in search
of new techniques, influences, style, and rhythms. In 2005,
he went to Seville, Spain to study flamenco guitar. You can
find him performing with several different artists around
Seattle and the US.
{Brian
Eichelberger} - Violinist, Bass,
Pianist - Brian really finds
enjoyment in creating music. He produces and engineers
recordings, writes and sings some songs, and plays some
instruments - mainly violin and piano. He has a dream, that
one day, folk music will be enjoyed and loved by the
masses. But until that day, he admits his heart for pop. He
plays bass in a little pop outfit called Barcelona.
{Jared
MacFarlane} - Violinist
- Here is a multi utility
individual that brings performance, teaching, and
production to the table. Jared has been active in the
Seattle-area playing classical violin for solo performance,
chamber ensembles, orchestras and recording projects. He
enjoys creativity with friends and any opportunity to bring
personality and fun to a session.
{Beth
Eichelberger} - Cellist
- Nurse by
week, cellist by weekend, Beth plays her cello smoothly and
confidently with crisp, clear tone. You can find Beth
playing with her brother Brian and their friend Jared, in
the Queen Anne String Machine.
{Steven
Hardin} - Drummer, DJ, Sound
Engineer - Steven Hardin is a
talented drummer and member of JUBILEE. He is
well-experienced in many drumming styles from rock to jazz,
and is an adept player of drum kits and hand drums alike.
He can also provide sound system services for any
audio/electrical needs at your event!
{Curtis
Romjue} - Guitarist,
Vocalist - Curtis has played guitar
since he was fourteen, and over the years has enjoyed
playing many styles (rock, reggae, funk, bossa nova, latin,
Hawaiian). He is constantly experimenting with new sounds
and ideas. Curtis plays three different types of guitars
(classical, acoustic and electric) in the band JUBILEE.
{Grace
Romjue} - Pianist,
Vocalist - Wife of Curtis Romjue,
Grace accompanies Curtis with the piano and her stunning
vocals. They make a great couple of musicians for any
event! Grace has played piano since she was a little girl.
She is a patient teacher who loves to watch students
discover the joy of being able to play. She enjoys putting
her keyboard and vocal skills to use in the band JUBILEE.
{Scott
Teske} - Acoustic and Electric
Bassist - Scott Teske is a double
bass and electric bass player who plays classical, jazz,
tango, latin, folk and popular music. Scott performs as a
soloist and recitalist as well as with small ensembles. He
is principal bassist of the Northwest Symphony Orchestra
and performs with latin band Rhythm Syndicate, Queen
tribute band Her Majesty and as a freelance artist. In 2008
he performed as a faculty guest artist at the Marrowstone
Music Festival.
{Ryan
Clodfelter} - Guitar,
Vocals - Ryan studies music
composition at Seattle Pacific University. He is a
guitarist, vocalist, arranger, and composer who plays and
writes jazz, latin, popular, folk, gospel, and symphonic
music. He is recipient of the Outstanding Guitar Soloist
award at the Essentially Ellington 2006 competition in New
York. Ryan has played with several different groups and is
currently working closely with Dr. Stephen Michael Newby.
{Elizabeth
Knighton} - Violinist
- is a
performer and teacher in the Seattle area. Experienced in
solo, chamber, and large ensemble playing, she will bring a
beautiful classical sound to your reception, event, or
wedding ceremony. She holds a Masters degree in Violin
Performance from the University of Washington.
{Kim
Carolan} - Pianist -
Kim was
classically trained since the age of eight with experience
winning awards and being a professional church accompanist
for five years. She plays standard repertoire of classics
for wedding ceremonies ("Cannon in D", "Wedding March",
"Ave Maria", etc.) Additionally, she plays jazz standards
("When I Fall in Love", "East of the Sun", "Fly me to the
Moon", etc.) She plays separately or with her husband,
Joseph.
{Joseph
Carolan} - Bass, Alto
Saxophone - His experience stems
from school days of marching band to playing in jazz bands
to playing more contemporary-style music in church on the
bass and sax. He plays primarily jazz standards, funk,
blues and much more ("Take Five", "Stardust", "Dancing
Cheek to Cheek", etc.) He plays with his wife, Kim.
{Michelle
Ji Young Rhee} - Violin -
Ms.Rhee has
earned two Masters degrees in Violin Performance from
Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and Bowling Green State
University, and her Bachelor of Music from Ewha Women’s
University in Seoul, Korea. She is a member of the East
West String Quartet, The Pneuma Piano and Violin Duo, and
the recently formed guitar duo. Ms. Rhee is also currently
the Assistant Concermaster for the Northwest Symphony
Orchestra and a faculty member at the Pacific Northwest
School of Music in Bellevue.
{Catherine
Feller} - Piano
- Ms. Feller
has played piano since 3rd grade and studied with such
personalities as Randy Halvorstad, Brooks Smith and
Gwendolyn Kodolfsky. She has accompanied the Sno-King
Chorale, Choir of the Sound, and the Seattle Jazz Singers.
After completing her Masters Degree in performance at
University of Southern California she is back home in the
Pacific Northwest.
{Robert
Vierschilling} - Guitar
-
Mr.Vierschilling performs classical guitar solo and in
small ensembles in the Seattle area. He also composes
original music for guitar. He has performed at the Museum
of Northwest Art in La Conner, KING FM, the Seattle Classic
Guitar Society fundraising ensemble concert at the Seattle
Art Museum, and the Intiman Theater as part of the
Northwest Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center. Robert
earned his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in
classical guitar at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore,
Maryland.
{Fuzzy
Lounge Sounds} - Professional DJ's and
Sound Engineers - a collective of
professional DJs that love mixing the perfect soundtrack
for your gathering. Resident DJs - Nathaniel and Jason, who
play on the radio, in nightclubs, and on national tours,
are more than able to get the job done. Their goal is to
provide a fun and worry-free event customizing each
performance for your event.
{The Soul
Proprietors} - an eleven-piece soul
band that have been polishing their act at Seattle-area
venues since 2002. Featuring four golden-voiced singers, a
trio of horn players, and a solid rhythm section, The Soul
Proprietors play a variety of classic soul and pop tunes
spanning Motown and classic R&B. Paying respects to
Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Sam and Dave, and many other
soul giants, the band always brings an infectious
enthusiasm to the stage.
{The East
West String Quartet} - members all have
graduate degrees in performance and are active performers
and teachers. The East West Quartet has a large repetoire
of both classical and Chinese folk music. The group has
performed at various social gatherings including the
Seattle Out-to-Lunch Program sponsored by King FM.
{Queen
Anne String Machine} - Brian Eichelberger, his
sister Beth, and friend Jared Macfarlane comprise this
dynamic trio - two violins, and cello. They bring an
element of youthful vigor and professionalism to any
performance.
{Miller
String Trio} - provides a vast
repertoire of music representing composers from Germany,
Italy, France, and many other countries. Some of their
favorite events have been a birthday party for Mrs. Marion
Oliver McCaw in the McCaw Hall, reception at the Olympic
Fairmont Hotel, and a reception for the president of the
Puget Sound Blood Bank.
{Special
Occasion Strings} - consists of Lin
Marcelais, Lyle Wilcox, Nona Martin, and Janet Pantoja -
musicians with many years of combined professional
experience who are members of various symphony orchestras
and other groups in the Seattle area. Steeped in the
classical repertoire, Special Occasions Strings also enjoys
playing lighter music including pops, ragtime, musicals,
love songs, and seasonal/holiday music.
{The
Pneuma Duo} - This piano and violin
duo consists of Michelle Ji Young Rhee and Catherine Feller
- who perform mostly classical and church music. They had a
well-attended recital in August 2008. They are currently
working on their first CD - a Christmas album.
